Summer Reading!
There are several fun Summer Reading Programs available to you and your children this summer. At Berkeley Lake, we encourage your kids to use this time to enjoy reading. Students may read books, magazines, newspapers, comics or listen to audio books. Families are encouraged to read aloud together!
All students who participate in one of the summer reading activities this year will be invited to an ice cream party! They will also get to check out extra books all year long next year. As an added bonus, one lucky reader will win a Kindle Fire! Complete any of the following activities by August 16th to earn a ticket for the prize drawing. Each student could earn up to 3 tickets!
1. Participate in the Take5 summer checkout program, return books by August 9th, and take a survey at school about the books you read.
2. Turn in your completed BINGO card.
3. Complete the Gwinnett County Public Library ( www.gwinnettpl.org) summer reading program. (The public library will give us a list of names of all who completed the program.)
Due to construction at our school this summer, the media center will NOT be open any days during the summer. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we are looking forward to a brand new media center when construction is done!
MORE Summer Reading Freebies

The public library has planned a fun filled summer complete with storytellers, puppet shows, and crafts. Earn prizes and rewards all summer!
